JAMES ALLEN, N.C. — A bride’s bridal party paid $3,320 for a bridal suite at the hotel where the bride’s parents and sister are staying, but it’s not a glamorous experience.

It’s also not the first time a family-owned Rio Grande resort has taken a hit in the past year, and it’s certainly not the last.

In August, the hotel’s owners announced they would shutter its popular restaurant, where guests could eat and drink with family and friends.
