JAMES ALLEN, N.C. — A bride’s bridal party paid $3,320 for a bridal suite at the hotel where the bride’s parents and sister are staying, but it’s not a glamorous experience.
It’s also not the first time a family-owned Rio Grande resort has taken a hit in the past year, and it’s certainly not the last.
In August, the hotel’s owners announced they would shutter its popular restaurant, where guests could eat and drink with family and friends.
That meant guests could only drink wine or have beer at the restaurant, which is located inside the suite, and not on the pool deck.
For some guests, the new restaurant is a relief.
“I don’t miss the pool,” said Anna Hahn, a 21-year-old from Texas who had been staying with her husband, Jacob Hahn.
“I miss having a table of family and my family.”
At the time, the Hahns said the decision to shutter the restaurant was due to high hotel room occupancy and the increased number of hotel guests, but they have since decided to keep the space open.
The hotel has had trouble keeping guests coming back to the hotel, which has been in operation since 1996, and the Hens have decided to make a point of making sure guests do not feel left out.
And the family has tried to help its guests find the space to relax, including offering a suite with three beds at the pool for couples who would like to stay with them.
On a recent night, a family of three stayed for a private dinner with the Hons, a $3 million wedding.
But the guests said it was still pricey.
Jennifer Hahn said the room was $2,700 per night and it would have been even cheaper to stay at her grandparents’ house in California.
When she first saw the bill, she was shocked.
“I thought, ‘This is a luxury hotel that costs $1,000 per night to stay here,'” she said.
“We’re paying $2 a night.”
A $3 Million Bridal SuiteAt the Rio Grand Hotel, guests can enjoy the spa, the pool, the sauna and other amenities, but there is no room for everyone.
The $3M suite at Rio Grande, the country’s largest luxury hotel, features the following amenities:The suites are not for the rich or the famous, but for the middle-class, the elderly and the families of those guests.
The suites include two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two separate living rooms.
The rooms also have a full kitchen and a fireplace.
The suite includes a sauna, an outdoor pool and a poolside patio, as well as a private balcony with a private patio and a view of the pool.
A private elevator allows guests to enter the suite from either the main lobby or a separate entrance that has a view.
There is a large balcony on the second floor that overlooks the pool and outdoor pool.
The pool is accessed through a private elevator, which can be accessed from the second-floor lobby.
There are no showers or bathrooms, so guests can shower at the spa or at the guest house.
Guests can also use a private sauna in the lobby.
The family of four also has a large indoor tennis court, with tennis courts throughout the suites, as a workout area and a private, heated tennis court for those who want to work out on the court.
