Police in Lagom, Nigeria’s second-largest city, are searching for a man who disappeared from a nightclub a day earlier, officials said.
A police official said police found the man’s body on Saturday at a party attended by about 50 people who said he was a bouncer.
He had been missing since Monday night, when a man in a dark suit approached the club and asked if anyone was in the club.
The man told police that he had just come from a hotel and that he was waiting for a cab to take him to a hotel, the official said.
Police found the body in the parking lot of a nearby hotel.
The man was wearing a black jacket and a blue hooded sweatshirt.
Police are searching the area where the man was last seen, in the town of Baga, where a nightclub has been popular with tourists.
The area has been a popular hangout for nightclub goers, according to police.
More to come.
